The super two seated Jaguar XJ220 concept car
The Jaguar XJ220 concept car is a two-seater supercar produced by British luxury vehicle constructor Jaguar from 1992 until 1994, in collaboration with the expert automotive and race technology business Tom Walkinshaw rushing. The XJ220 held the record for the fastest production car all through 1992 after notes a peak hasten of 213.1 mph (343.0 km/h), before being superseded by the McLaren F1 in 1993, and held the Nьrburgring production vehicle lap record between 1992 and 2000 with a time of 7:46.36. Motor and transmission
Jaguar and motor designer Walter Hassan had before created a 48-valve variant of their V12 motor expressly for motorsport use. Aerodynamic work was undertaken at the Motor commerce study Association breeze tunnel using a 1:4 scale form, as the task was unable to allowance for a full-scale mock-up. The Jaguar XJ220 concept car had a Connolly Leather-trimmed interior made by Callow & Maddox, and was fitted with front and back heated windscreens, electric powered windows, air conditioning, warmed electrically adjustable seats with an Alpine Electronics CD player.
Four-wheel propel was determined against early in the development method, for a number of causes. It was thought rear-wheel drive would be ample in the majority of situations, that the added complexity of the four-wheel propel scheme would hinder the development method and potentially be awkward for the clientele.
