The compact 4 wheel Jeep Wrangler is an SUV. This drive off road vehicle is manufactured by the USA automaker Chrysler. The 3rd generation jeep Marque is under production currently. Willys Military Jeep which was used during the 2nd world war is the direct precede of this SUV. These jeeps are produced under American Motor Company (AMC). The Wranglers used the frame and the body just like its previous versions. Both rear and front had rigid live axles, flat windshields which could be folded. The wrangler could be driven without the door as well. The wrangler was first introduced in the year 1986 as Jeep CJ-7. Later it was re-designed in the year 2006. There are different variants of sorts as well as military versions of this vehicle.
Wrangler can be converted to any other class of vehicles. Initially the market of the vehicle hindered too low which the production. The model was re-designed to give a better look both at the front and rear and named it as Wrangler YJ. These changes were done in Ontario, Canada.

The front grille of the vehicle was angled out which led towards the top, hood length was decreased whereas fender length was increased. The new design of the jeep attracted many daily drivers. This was designed to give wider tracks and more comfort. Anti lock brakes and rear shoulder belts were the highlights. The engine was powered by 2.5L 4 cylinder AMC 150 14 which produced a power output of 112 HP (84kW). Later this engine was replaced by the 4.0L AMC 242 16 which produced an output power of 180 HP (134kW). The vehicle came with 3 speed automatic and 5 speed manual. The vehicle was available in 2 body styles that is a 2 door convertible and 2 door SUV.
The jeep possessed exclusive 8 inches wide 5 hole aluminum wheels, full size spare tire. The headlights were rectangular in shape which integrated itself into the front fenders. Normal lights were replaced by fog lamps, power steering was introduced which had a leather wrap around. Seats were elevated and were made out of Fabric. The fuel tank of this US made jeep made extra large which could store up to 20 gals. Plastic bumpers were given at both front and rear. It also had a center console with cup holders.

The later versions of the Jeep Wrangler had version 6 4.1L engines. This produced the power of 285 HP at 6400 RPM. The torque turned out to be 260 LBFT at 4800 RPM. With the 5 speed manual transmission the acceleration the jeep has been 100 KMPH in just 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 110 KMPH. The jeep was a heavy duty off road vehicle. It had a remote locking system for front and rear differentials. It was a tough competitor of Land Rover SUVβs. The soft suspension of this roll cage more comfortable to drive. The Wrangler has been just a super sporty SUV.
